Présentée à A2Z Art Gallery à Paris du 6 février au 8 mars 2025, «Ceux qui errent, ce qui fait racines» déploie une réflexion poétique sur l’errance et l’enracinement, interrogeant les liens mouvants entre domestication et féralité. Dans un monde en constante reconfiguration, où les notions de territoire et d’appartenance se font et se défont, le dessin se veut ici un espace d’exploration.

La série compose un univers à la fois resserré et ouvert. Chaque œuvre existe comme un monde en soi tout autant que comme un fragment d’une narration plus vaste.

À travers une constellation de figures – oiseaux, chiens errants, blés en feu, mains, insectes –, un réseau d’échos et de correspondances se tisse, effaçant les frontières entre humain, animal et végétal. L’attention se concentre sur les points de rencontre, ces brefs instants où les formes s’effleurent, se croisent et se répondent, révélant un paysage d’interdépendances.
Chaque motif incarne un état de passage, une tension entre ancrage et mouvement, entre ce qui prend racines et ce qui fuit dans les mouvements du monde.

Le dessin se prolonge avec une intervention in situ sur les murs de la galerie, dialoguant avec les œuvres sur papier. Réalisés à l’encre, ces tracés muraux élargissent ou transforment les compositions initiales, constituant un univers où la perception oscille entre ce qui apparaît et ce qui se dissout. Délivrés de la stricte figuration, ils convoquent un imaginaire mouvant, où des formes organiques émergent et se recomposent à travers nos regards. L’espace devient ainsi un territoire fluide, une cartographie sensible où le trait inscrit des trajectoires fragiles, des empreintes du vivant en perpétuelle métamorphose.

Loin de figer un territoire, «Ceux qui errent, ce qui fait racines» cherche à en faire éprouver la porosité, invitant à décentrer notre regard et, par là même, à penser autrement notre présence dans le tissu du monde.

Presented at A2Z Art Gallery in Paris from 6 February to 8 March 2025, ‘Ceux qui errent, ce qui fait racines’ (‘Those who wander and what makes roots’) is a poetic reflection on wandering and rootedness, exploring the shifting links between domestication and ferality. In a constantly reconfiguring world, where notions of territory and belonging come and go, drawing is a space for exploration.

The series forms a universe that is both narrow and open. Each work exists both as a world in itself and as a fragment of a larger narrative.

Through a constellation of figures - birds, stray dogs, burning wheat, hands, insects - a network of echoes and correspondences is woven, blurring the boundaries between human, animal and plant. The focus is on points of encounter, those brief moments when forms brush against, cross and respond to each other, revealing a landscape of interdependence.

Each motif embodies a state of passage, a tension between anchorage and movement, between what takes root and what flees in the movements of the world.

The drawing continues with an in situ intervention on the gallery walls, in dialogue with the works on paper. Done in ink, these wall drawings expand or transform the initial compositions, creating a universe where perception oscillates between what appears and what dissolves. Freed from strict figuration, they conjure up a shifting imagination, where organic forms emerge and recompose themselves through our eyes. Space thus becomes a fluid territory, a sensitive cartography where the line inscribes fragile trajectories, imprints of the living in perpetual metamorphosis.

Far from freezing a territory, ‘Ceux qui errent, ce qui fait racines’ seeks to make us experience its porosity, inviting us to decentre our gaze and, by the same token, to think differently about our presence in the fabric of the world.
